Irene makes landfall - Many Threats!

Irene made landfall at about 7:30 AM - She is kicking in a lot of heavy rain and severe weather now for VA, MD, and NC. She has kicked precipitation way west! I suspect Flood Watched on and east of I-95 to become Flood Warnings. Tornado watches all along the coast with many rotating thunderstorms capable of tornadoes, and winds along the coast to cause extensive damage. Expect Flood watches to extend to to about 35 miles west of I-95 if trends continue.

The threat moves up the coast all day!

Stay alert! Be careful! Do NOT try and drive through flooded roadways! Do NOT put yourself in harms way!

Storm looks like it will come in a bit west of forecast tracks in NC, and also appears to be getting a bit better organized in the last our or so. Southwest side looks ragged, but it ay be re-organizing. I will keep watching and update sometime this afternoon.

Thoughts still look the same to me. Will try and pinpoint more later tonight.

NC - Friday/Saturday - Major Impact - Serious situation for Outer Banks and eastern part of the state. Please heed evacuation requests. A category 2 or 3 hurricane is serious and has not been something that has been experienced in a long while - Outer Banks should not be occupied when she comes through!

VA - Saturday/Sunday - Eastern VA will feel the effects of the storm especially from the coast to about 50 miles inland. Again, heed evacuation requests. Eastern Shore especially vulnerable

Maryland - Saturday/Sunday - Serious impacts along coast to about 50 miles inland. Eastern Shore is the most vulnerable.

Delaware - Saturday/Sunday - All of Delaware to be effected. The coast is obviously the most vulnerable

Pennsylvania - Sunday/Monday - Mainly eastern areas and this will be wind and rain.

NJ - Sunday/Monday - Major impacts, especially along the coast. High winds and heavy rains likely.

Severe weather today. Irene to be weekend spoiler!

Today will be hot. The storm complex in the Midwest is headed this way
and showers and storms, especially Northern VA, DC, MD, PA, and NJ,
could be here before noon. Storms may also be severe and the Storm
Prediction center has northern VA and up into the Northeast in a
slight risk for severe today.

Hurricane Irene is serious threat, and models have shifted enough to
make me worried. Eastern half of VA, NC, MD,PA, NC - all of NJ and DE
should start to seriously prepare! Power outages and storm damage are
a good possibility! Prepare now and heed all evacuation requests!

Irene has made it to a Category 3 Hurricane, 115 mph winds, which is MAJOR on the Saffir Simpson Scale (http://chps.sam.usace.army.mil/USHESdata/saffirscale.htm)

NC - Friday/Saturday - Major Impact - Serious situation for Outer Banks and eastern part of the state. Please heed evacuation requests. Likely to be more widespread tomorrow morning. A category 2 or 3 hurricane is serious and has not been something that has been experienced in a long while - MAKE PREPARATIONS TODAY AND EVACUATE. Updates on Timing: Irene! I was way off!

Still looking like Irene will be a serious threat to the area, especially east of I-95 and for the coast as She will be a Hurricane as she come through.
Irene is likely to be a Category 3 or higher when she makes landfall. As of now, the SC/NC border looks like a close call for where she will come on shore, but more likely Southeastern NC based on latest model trends. Then she will track through the Mid Atlantic, at least based on current model output! There will be some time to watch exact tracks, and areas in the Carolinas will be affected Friday into Saturday, then the central Mid Atlantic Saturday into Sunday, and then New England Sunday into Monday.

Irene is likely to be a LARGE hurricane as well. This means her affects will be felt west of the center.

This is a serious Hurricane. The Bahamas are likely to be seriously impacted. It is time to pray and prepare! This could be very bad!

Hurricane IRENE - Real threat! Time to prepare

Irene intensified this evening and is in rapid growth mode. Irene is likely to be a Category 3 or higher when she makes landfall. Another Hot and Steamy weekend ending in Severe - Tropical Threat looks South

We have a hot summer weekend on our hands with temps in the 90s. A chance of storms today and then a better chance tomorrow with a severe thunderstorm threat as well. Temps will drop to the 80s for Monday and stay there for the week. Southern VA and NC will see temps closer to and in the low 90s with a chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm. A return to storm possibilities returns area wide Thursday.

The Tropics are ACTIVE! Harvey is a strong and strengthening tropical storm that is about to come ashore at Belize. Then we have Incest 97L which is very strong and I suspect will get upgraded to a Depression today or tomorrow, and a Storm not too long after. Where the future Irene goes now appears a threat to the Gulf and MAYBE Florida. There is a trough later this week that could pick up her or her remnants and enhance rain along the East Coast. We will have to watch. Further out a few more lows are showing early signs of organization and will need to be watched.

Is there a Hurricane Threat on the East coast - Model data says - MAYBE

We are a week away from the scenario, but models are consistently showing the new Invest (area of interest that may become a tropical system) strengthening and possibly becoming a hurricane and ultimately threatening the US. Where? Well, my gut would say Carolinas southward! YES, anywhere is possible, and no hurricane at all is possible. This far out you pay attention to consistency in models but exact details are not clear. A heads up that this is tropical storm season and we are nearing the height of the season. But I can bet you, if the threat is real, or even unreal, you will hear a ton about it on news and radio outlets. I will start analysis if this looks to threaten the area.

Some relief but Hot air reloads for later this week

As a front continues to press towards the area more chances of rain should occur today. This could include heavy showers and storms with locally flooding rains. Temps will be in the low and mid 90s for the most part.

Dryer air will visit, at least the northern half of the area the next 2 days. Temps may still be up in the low and mid 90s, but the lower humidity will be nice. Thursday and Friday mark the return of the heat. Temps will again climb to near 100 degrees Friday. Temps will drop a bit next weekend as a chance for storms enters the forecast, but low and mid 90s looks to persist for all this week.

Of note, this will likely end up the hottest July on record. The previous hottest July on record was just last year! So back to back very hot summers!

Not quite as Hot. Rain chances higher

We will see a front approach the area today. This should assist in the
creation of some showers and storms. While still very hot, we will
have a bit of cooling and highs will likely just hit the mid 90s
today. Some storms could be severe and contain heavy rain, high winds,
and hail.

Temps really pull back tomorrow with highs only in the mid and upper
80s. Even a better chance of storms.

Highs will still be in the low an mid 90s this week. They will be less
humid highs until Thursday. A front will approach this weekend and
knock temps down again by next Sunday.

Hot! There is a better chance of thunderstorms

So the heat continues. The only help we have had is that rain and thunderstorms have given some cooler clouds.Scattered showers and storms will again be possible today. We could see some local severe and local flooding as well in the storms. The hot weather will persist tomorrow, but again, with some clouds and rain chances will cool the temps some.

The same situation Monday. So temps will be more in the low and mid 90s north and mid and upper 90s.

Hazy Hot and Humid as it gets in the Mid Atlantic! When will we get a break?

Already steamy out there and temps are to peak around 95 degrees or so with Heat Index values topping out between 100 to 105. Temps will cool to the mid an upper 70s with heat indexes staying in the 80s overnight. An excessive Heat Watch which will turn to a warning tomorrow afternoon and will last until Saturday evening. Temps will hit near 100 tomorrow, 100 to 104 Friday, and around 100 to 104 Saturday. Heat Index values will be in the 110 - 115 range at their max and only in the mid 80s at best for lows! Now that is nothing to take lightly. Heat kills and already has quite a bit due to this heat wave. Please stay indoors during the heat of the day, drink plenty of fluids, and make sure others are well cooled as well like the elderly and sick. Seems obvious but it is really important!

So when is the true break? Best that I can tell is somewhere towards mid week next week. Tuesday Highs will start coming down in the north to the upper 80s, but still mid an upper 90s in the south half of the region. Wednesday looks the same, but could be the breaking day where as next Thursday we see first real relief. Brutal week ahead! AC's will be cranking and electric bills soaring!

Hot with a chance of severe - then brutally hot

The Storms Prediction Center (SPC) has highlighted southern VA and NC for a slight risk for severe today. The biggest threat will be Hail and Damaging winds. Hot conditions in the low and mid 90s with high dewpoints will make it feel close to 100. Still a small storm chances tomorrow with continued heat. The high pressure dome causing the heat will settle into the area and temps will jump another 5 to 8 degrees making 100 possible Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Some may see it Sunday as well. Temps will come down some due to storm threats Sunday and then a front may make it down by Tuesday which will knock temps back to normal. That is the way it looks now.

Tropical Storm Brett will accelerate NE and he peaked yesterday with winds around 65 mph then. He is down to about 50 mp this AM. Models pointing at another possible system early next week.

Dangerous Heat on the way - Maybe Thunderstorm today, Tomorrow, Wednesday

The Heat returns today with most seeing a low to mid 90s reading. Areas in PA. NY, NJ, and even MD may see some strong to severe storms later today.

Tomorrow a weak front will move across the VA, MD, DC area and may spawn some more strong showers and storms. It will still be hot and steamy with highs in the low and mid 90s.

Wednesday through Saturday look brutal. Highs will top out around 100 most of these days with heat index values Thursday, Friday, and Saturday topping the 110 degree mark and even a few coastal areas may see 115 to 120 Heat index readings! OPPRESSIVE.

Storms could make a return next Sunday and may be the step down in temps towards normal next week. I will have to watch and see if this happens or not. The Long Range forecasts still show Much Above to Above normal temperature outlooks. I am seeing some signs of a more normal heat outlook, but not certain at this time.

Tropical Storm Brett is slowly strengthening and will move NE and then East out to sea. The Bahamas will see the most effects from the storm as well as some high surf off the SE Coast of the US.

I keep warning that it is coming and really is! A serious heat wave is on the way. Temps will jump above 90 tomorrow and be there at least through next weekend! Temps will start approaching 100+ Thursday through Sunday. I am not seeing a break in the heat the following week wither.

So I am not kidding that it is time to get your AC fixed if it is not. Drink plenty of fluids, Just be prepared!

Monday could feature strong to severe storms helping to break the heat a bit, but really no relief.

I mentioned that the tropics were not active and then, an invest was named and a circulation. It currently has a 20% chance of development but may have a better chance in a day or so. It is east of FL. I will watch.

So, we are on the brink of another heat wave but have had some amazing days and will have a few more good days before it arrives. Heat will REALLY be bad this time. Much worse than last for the VA, MD, PA, NJ, DE area. Please make preparations now to get ready for serious heat. Heat Index and even actual temps will be at or above 100 from Wednesday on for Many!

What a relief - Building heat says it will not be too long of one

We have to enjoy the next several days of lower heat and humidity! I really am thankful we have it! It will not be long before we will see the sweltering heat in the central part of the nation come east and rival the heat we just had. That will be in full effect, probably by next Wednesday. We will, in the meantime, have a nice set of days with highs in the 80s and lower temps! Enjoy!

Just plain HOT! AND Dangerous!

The temps will soar to near 100 degrees. The humidity will combine with the heat to send heat indexes into the 110s! This is NOT a day to stay outdoors. Get into cooling centers or help others to do so! A late day shower or storm MAY break the heat and with all the moist atmosphere around, some severe is possible.

The temps will still top out in the 90s tomorrow, but the humidity will definitely be less and going down through the day. The week into the weekend promises a great relief with highs headed back to the mid 80s and dewpoints being much lower.

Heat is coming, then somewhat nice!

After a somewhat less hot weekend. A return to the muggies is coming,
poor air quality, and temps approaching 100 Tuesday. Storms will
hopefully interrupt the heat Tuesday, especially up in the north but
the temps and humidity should make it feel like 100 even if the temps
do not make it.

North: Temps will cool to much better an tolerable levels after a
frontal passage Tuesday. Mid 80s will be the rule into the weekend
from what I can tell.

Southern half of VA -. Similar, but the front does not clear until
Wednesday and one more day of temps around 90. Then Thursday and
Friday have temps in the mid 80s. Upper 80s by next weekend.

Further South in NC: Temps to 100 possible Tuesday and Wednesday with
storms Wednesday bringing Cooler mid and upper 80s into the weekend.

Nice day with higher heat and humidity on the way!

The weekend has been awesome weather wise. It will end in the 80s for most today. Temps will start to rise with higher humidities tomorrow. Temps will soar into the 90s and stay there for Central and south VA and all of NC.

Storms chances will increase tomorrow, and last at least through Thursday. Isolated severe is always possible.

In the tropics a system that emerges in the Bay of Campache may be able to achieve tropical depression status before it could help drench parts of drought stricken Texas. Not so sure it can develop too much.

Some storms for Father's Day

Happy Father's day! My dad passed this year, but I have to say that it is my dad that fostered my love for weather! Listening to storms roll in on the back of our screened porch in Richmond is an awesome memory! Happy Father's day dad! We will have some storms today. The Storm Prediction Center has half the lower part of the state under a slight risk for severe. This will need to be monitored. Scattered storms today.

Things will heat up tomorrow until Thursday. A strong front should be coming into the area Thursday and Friday which will need to be monitored for Severe. This will cool temps from the low and mid 90s all week to low and mid 80s Friday into Saturday.

HOT weather continues

Life became hectic again so updates slowed. Sorry all. Temps continue
WAY above normal, but I see a break coming and, this time, that break
may last a week or so. Until then expect heat and hunidity with
afternoon showers and storms today, Saturday, and Sunday. Storms may
be severe so we will need to stay alert. Highs in the low and mid 90s
today, upper 80s north to mid 90s south Saturday and Sunday. Highs
will drop to around 80 North to the upper 80s south Monday as cooler
air settles in for a while. The Monday forecast should repeat through
Thursday of next week with drier air and high 80 to 85 north and 85 to
90 south.

Lower humidities and cooler north - slipping south tomorrow!

A front came through and dew points are dropping and temps feel
Comfortable, especially up here in Northern VA! Temps will drop into
the 40s and 50s for many tonight! That is news worth celebrating after
record highs and stifling humidities. Temps will be in the mid 80s
north but still 90 to 95 south half of VA and into NC.
Tomorrow highs will be 80 to 85 north and central areas, while NC
still sees upper 80s.

Mid 80s return north with mid and upper 80s central and around 90 south.

90s south and mid and upper 80s north on Sunday. That trend looks to
hold until Wednesday of next week.

Of note: Tropics have an area of interest in the southwestern
Caribbean sea. Slow development is possible for this system.

Strong to severe weather with heat!

So we will see temps again in the 90 to 95 degree range with strong to
severe storms later this afternoon. Temps will come down quite a bit
tomorrow but we will really notice the lower humidity. Temps will be
85 to 90. Temps in the 80 to 85 degree range for Friday and Saturday
looks nice. Highs will jump to upper 80s to low 90s Sunday with
another chance of storms.

Stay cool and stay alert for possible Severe.

The First TRUE Heat wave! 90s most the week

It is not a hard forecast. HOT and staying that way the next 5 days. There *COULD* be a break Friday into Saturday, but then it looks to crank up again! Temps will be in the low to upper 90s today, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday area wide. The heat may subside somewhat for areas in PA, MD, and Northern VA, but we are now talking mid 80s for 2 days and then close to 90 again by next Sunday!

Storm chances - isolated today - isolated Wednesday and Thursday - highest chance now looks like next Sunday.

In PA, NJ the temps may be closer to 90 today and Wednesday and Thursday.

Still... I HATE THE HEAT! Stinks! Great pool weather! Horrible electric bill!

SIMPLY HOT! But how hot will it get?

So we have great pool weather, but not good for my electric bill which is going UP with the AC running! The temps will be upper 80s to mid 90s today and in the mid and upper 90s next 2 days! We will likely see a few 100 degree marks met too! Just plain hot and it is too early for this!

We have to hold on until Friday when temps will drop! Highs at that time will drop to around 80 north and in the mid 80s south!

There may be a chance of storms Wednesday and Thursday as a front comes through. Next weekend looks delightful.

Another sticky day with thunderstorms

More showers and storms are likely today and these will stretch further east than the ones from yesterday. the SPC has highlighted northern VA, MD, East PA, NJ, and NY in a slight risk for severe. Winds and large hail are possible along with an isolated tornado threat.

Highs will be in the mid and upper 80s.

A chance of storms overnight and into the morning for most eastern areas, but pretty much a drying out later tomorrow. Highs on the mid and upper 80s again.

Sunday through Tuesday look like a summertime forecast! Highs in the low and mid 90s. A chance of an afternoon shower or storm, especially in the mountains and right along the coast.

By Wednesday a cold front will approach and supply another chance of storms. Still hot upper 80s to mid 90s.

Thursday temps will lower to the mid and upper 80s again.

Heat and stickiness continue with Severe Threat

You would think it was summer! It will be in the upper 80s to around 90 today with a risk of storms, especially in the mountains and spilling eastward late today or tonight. The SPC has outlined areas west of I-95 for possible severe http://bit.ly/lmMceg . The biggest threats are hail and high winds, but there is a tornado threat as well. Please stay tuned to news and radio outlets and that may need to continue overnight and into tomorrow as well.

Temps are a bit cooler tomorrow with an increased chance of showers and storms, some of which could also be severe. Temps in the low and mid 80s tomorrow.

Stickiness with thunderstorm chances continuing - some severe

Well, how did you like the weather yesterday? Today will be the same! My meteorology professor liked to mention how accurate Benjamin Franklin was in predicting the weather. His forecast would say, whatever happened yesterday will happen today. Well, in this case, it is likely to be just like yesterday with a few more clouds. Afternoon showers and storms with some becoming severe.

How about making a copy of that for the next 3 days - OK - seems like the redundant forecast will continue! Then maybe a few more degrees cooler Friday and through the weekend!. My kids and I like the warming the pool is getting! Of note, the higher temps and lower chances of rain for Thursday and through the weekend for the southern half of VA and NC.

Temps for Northern VA, MD, DC, and PA - mid and upper 80s through Thursday and then low to mid 80s this weekend.
Temps for the Southern half of VA and NC will be low 90s through Thursday and then around 90 all weekend.

Summery pattern!

Welcome to the sticky hazy, hot, and humid days of .. Spring! Well, it
will feel summer-like with a daily chance of storms and highs pretty
much mid 80s to around 90. The next three days may also feature severe
storms with wind and hail being the biggest threat.

Easy forecast then. Very warm to hot all week, chances of afternoon

Flooding again possible north - warm and drier air on the way

The pesky upper level low pressure that has taken days to clear the region will rotate more energy through Northern VA, MD, DC, DE, NJ, and PA today and tomorrow. With so much rain in these storms and a wet ground, flood watches are again posted to the region. Some localized flooding has been occurring so please be careful. Localized severe weather is also possible. This was true out in spots yesterday and even captured in Loudoun County VA where this video was captured http://wj.la/lS7MiU- Temps in the mid and upper 70s today.

Tomorrow will again feature the chance of rain but the chances will have begun to decrease in Northern VA, DC, and MD. However, in PA, DE, and NJ showers still look likely. Temps again in the mid and upper 70s.

Saturday will be the first dry forecast in a while. Temps will rise to the 80 - 85 degree mark and it will be a bit sticky. Shoot, only a week away from the pool opening in many areas so we need some warmth! Sunday will be about the same but a late day or evening storm cannot be ruled out.

Monday will continue the warmth of the 80s and that looks to last through Wednesday. There will be a threat of a late day or evening shower or storm Monday and Tuesday.

Heavy rain possible - summer weather coming

Yesterday and today it is all about Location. If a convergence area
sets up over yours you are likely to get flooding rains. Otherwise,
scattered showers will continue to dump very heavy localized rain.
Remember in floods the motto is "Turn around, don't drown!" Do not
drive through flooded areas. Temps remain in the low 70s north.

Wednesday and Thursday continue with shower and storm threats and
temps in the 70s north. Things look to be drier starting Friday and
into the weekend.

Of note, less concentrated rain and storms southern areas with much
lowe chances and temps bumping to near mid 70s today near 80 tomorrow
and in the lower 80s Thursday and Friday. Rain chances do increase
Thursday in the south.

This weekend will see less clouds and warm to Hot summer like temps
return! Highs in the low and mid 80s Saturday will be mid and upper
80s Sunday and it will rather humid.

We will see more showers and storms today. Some storms could end up severe and the Storm Prediction Center has outlined eastern areas for a slight risk of severe. We will have to watch. with so much rain in these storms, localized flooding is definitely possible! Biggest threat today will be high winds and hail. Temps will top out in the mid and upper 70s.

The system in this region is just not moving. It leaves us unsettled the rest of the week. Showers will be possible through Thursday. Temps appear to be between 65 and 70 in the north and mid 70s southern half of VA, and mid and upper 70s in NC.

We will see a continuation of nice weather. Yesterdays Convective
storm complex caused a long path of severe weather and heavy rain. I
saw the possibility, but had one of those days where I had no time to
really update.

Today and tomorrow look nice with highs mid 70s to mid 80s.

Friday increasing clouds and temps about the same. Showers and storms
will start to enter the forecast out west and Southern areas.

Storm and rain threats will be area wide Saturday and Sunday... Even
Monday and Tuesday. By Saturday temps will cool to the lower 70s at
best north and upper 70s South.

The rain over the weekend and into early next week could be heavy at
times and pose a flood threat for some. More to come on this.

Awesome stretch of weather. Wet end of week

The weather will truly be beautiful today through Thursday, although
the western areas may see some wet weather late Thursday. Temps will
be in the 70s and it will be just beautiful. There *COULD* be some
perfect weather spoiler showers in the Blue Ridge and West later
Tuesday.

Thursday night into Friday a front will approach and try and pass
through the area. It is looking like it may hang up in the area and
that could mean a showery weekend.

Nicest day of the weekend! Highs will be in the 70s and sunshine a plenty. That will be after the thick fog burns off in NC and Southern VA.

Tomorrow, partly to mostly cloudy skies at time may yield to afternoon showers and storms. Highs again will be in the 70s.

Monday through Wednesday look like carbon copied of each other with dry and sunny skies and temps in the 70s.

Thursday we will need to watch the evolution of a storm system as we could have showers and storms and some strong storms and very heavy rains could be shaping up Thursday into Friday.

What a difference a day makes! Temps are very cool today compared to
the 80s of yesterday. Rain chances will continue through mid day with
highs in the 50s north and lower 60's south. Cool to cold overnight
with lows down to the 30s in the mountains and low and mid 40s for
most. Seasonally mild 60s tomorrow and upper 60s to low 70s Friday. A
chance of some showers north on Friday.

Temps will remain in the upper 60s to low 70s through Monday. A chance
of showers and storms for Saturday Night and Sunday area wide.

Another warm day and almost an identical set up. 80s and muggy
conditions. Afternoon and evening storms could be severe again with
high winds being the main threat. Chances will be highest to the west.

Tonight will be busy with a strong front approaching the severe threat
will increase through the night. Tonights threats will include a
chance for Tornadoes as well as high winds and very heavy rains. Rains
could cause some flooding so be alert!

Rain will be ongoing in the morning but ending by mid day along and
west of I-95 and by evening east of I-95.

Another very warm day with a storm threat

Today we will again see summer like warmth and humidity with a chance

Any storms will wind down this evening and a muggy night will be had.

Tomorrow will be a copy of today but a better chance os storms late in
the day. A more probable Severe weather outbreak could occur late in
the day or evening for folks out west and that will spread east
overnight.

Wednesday night into Thursday could be one of the more severe periods
this year. Storms with high winds, possible tornadoes, and hail could

Thursday's rain and storms will end mid day in the west and late day

Hello summer warmth and humidity! Storms too!

It is a very humid morning for many with fog in the wake of yesterday's downpours. We are all going to see the 80s today, even upper 80s in the southern half of VA and in NC. Pop up showers and storms will be possible and an isolated severe storm is also possible. The Severe threat is a little higher in PA than in MD and VA or NC today. Storms are more likely North VA, DC, MD, and especially in PA than in southern VA or NC.

Tomorrow will be almost a repeat, but a slightly higher chance of a storm.

Wednesday will see highs continue in the 80s and again the chance of storms. That chance will increase in the evening and overnight and some storms in the west may be severe.

Widespread showers and storms will be possible Thursday, but these will be ending west to east as the front moves through. As of now, west of I-95 should clear by noon and east by later in the day. Severe storms will be a possibility as the front is rather strong. Cooler air in the 70s will follow.

Friday and Saturday look nice and in the 70s south and upper 60s north. May be the first all dry Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we have seen in a while!

Today does not look bad at all! A sunny day for the most part but the northern third of Virginia, Maryland, and definitely up into Pennsylvania will need to watch for storms. The instability will be enhanced by the stationary front up in PA. The Severe Storms Prediction Center (SPC) has outlined these regions for Slight Risk of severe with the biggest threat winds, but isolated hail and even an isolated tornado is not out of the question. http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/day1otlk.html

80s will be the predominant temperature with a challenge being when storms will be more likely. This is again looking to be a very severe week for the Midwest and Eastern Plains. There will be multiple days of very heavy rains and thunderstorms. We will have a lot to watch especially Wednesday into Thursday.

Nice warm spring weather with some rain and thunder chances

Today will be very nice. Northern VA and MD could see some showers and/or a storm today, but overall the day looks dry and the temps will be nice. Expect mid 70s north and low to mid 80s south!

Tomorrow will be very warm. Temps will soar to the 80s area wide, including some mid and upper 80s southern VA and NC. There is a risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon and some could be severe. This will not be the same coverage or intensity of the last round of storms, but gusty winds will be the primary threat.

Thursday looks nice, but cooler. Highs will reach the low and mid 60s north, about 70 southern VA and in the mid 70s in North Carolina. NC could have some showers and storm Thursday and Thursday night.

The threat of rain returns Friday with showers likely north and showers possible south.

Unsettled weather appears to persist for the weekend. Showers and even thunderstorms are possible both days. Highs will be in the upper 60s north and mid an upper 70s south.

Severe Weather Alert!

There is a threat of severe weather today as a strong front comes through the area. Today will feature Gusty Wind, Heavy rain, Severe Thunderstorms, and there is a risk of some Tornadoes. The heavy rain has already been fairly heavy with .75 to as much as an inch in the SW part of the state. Rain, generally 1 - 2 inches, will also be likely, with some seeing between 2 and 3 inches in the SW part of the state. Heavy rains in thunderstorms could cause flash flooding rains.
As the the thunderstorms move through, there will be the threat of high winds, hail, and even tornadoes. The threat is especially high in SE VA, North Carolina, and South Carolina. These areas are even highlighted by the Severe Storms Prediction Center with a moderate risk for Severe Weather! Upper level low is SLOW to move! Rain will slowly wind down from SW to NE. Some places were rocked with a lot of rain, while others did not see too much. Bu later today clouds will break up starting in the SW and moving NE as well. Tomorrow and Friday look nicer with dry conditions, but Saturday should be a real soaker with 1 to 3" of rain possible! Temps today, 50s N and 60s S. Thursday, Upper 60s N and 70s S. Friday, Mid 60s N and low 70s south. Saturday: About 60 N and mid 60s south.

The weather for spring is warm and nice today! We have breezy
conditions which will cause some fire risk in the sw part of VA and
NC. Temps will soar to the mid and upper 70s north and mid 80s south!
Showers and thunderstorms will start arriving in the west later this
afternoon or this evening. Some storms will approach strong to severe
limits. Wind would be the primary concern. Storms could be ongoing in
the morning and may still approach severe limits in SE VA and East NC
so the Severe Storms Prediction Center (SPC) has highlighted these
areas for slight risk tomorrow.

After morning rain and storms the region will dry out from West to
East and be brteezy and mich cooler. Highs will be in the 50s to near
60 for most.

Rest of the week looks above normal temps with highs in the 65 to 70
degree range north and 75 to 80 degrees range south.

Spring Time to make a return|Warmer and Thunderstorms!

So we finally have a sunny day on tap after quite a string of cloudy days with rain, snow, and even a bit of hail yesterday. I mentioned yesterday morning on http://twitter.com/midatlanticwx that there was a chance of hail yesterday, but was unable to update the main blog with the information so hopefully not too many were caught of guard! Today will be nice and sunny. Highs will be in the mid and upper 50s north and the mid and upper 60s in the southern areas. Tonight a warm front will slide through the region and may spark a few showers in the region, but it will deliver its warmer air, with highs tomorrow from the mid 70s north to the mid 80s south. Tomorrow will become very breezy as well with strong southerly winds that will be advecting all that warm and moist air into the region. East of the mountains it looks dry too, but, by late in the day showers and storms could be knocking on the mountain's doorstep.

Severe Weather Threat - not that high: The front coming through Monday night into Tuesday morning is strong and a round of showers and strong to severe storms does look probable. The only help will be that they will be coming through during the overnight which will be cooler and thus less fuel for the storms. So, as of now, the Severe Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has not outlined the region for severe, but I suspect that parts of the area will be added over time. The main threat will end up being winds, but isolated tornadoes also seem possible.

Temps will then retreat back for a day to the levels we will see today but then recover to nice Spring 60s and 70s. The next chance of significant weather will be next Saturday, but it is hard to say how strong this system will be.

The weather will try and improve the next 24 hours and it will with the rain and drizzle becoming much more scattered in the south and rain slowly winding down in the north. The trough causing the cold and dampness will still slide another disturbance through overnight with some showers of rain and even some snow in the higher elevations and northern areas. Saturday will remain cloudy with just spotty showers possible and highs will warm to the mid 50s North to mid 60s South. Things will improve nicely on Sunday with highs in the mid and upper 50s north and mid and upper 60s south. A warm front will come through Sunday Night into Monday and temps will bounce another 10 degrees with highs mid 60s North to Mid 70s south. Some showers will be likely Sunday Night, Monday and Monday Night. As the atmosphere becomes more unstable Tuesday the opportunity is there for heavy rains, with Flash Flooding possible, and Severe Storms! We will need to watch Tuesday.

Temps will then bump back down to Mid 50s north to Mid 60s south Wednesday under clearing skies. Sunny and Milder upper 50s North to Low 70s south comes back Thursday.

The snow chance for anyone out of the higher elevations has really subsided. We look raw and cold the next several days with rain a good bet. Today, rain with possibly some snow or sleet at onset and highs upper 30s for the north with just cold and rain with highs in the mid to upper 40s south. In NC there may be some thunderstorms as well. Rain will taper off this evening. Tonight and tomorrow continue cool/cold with drizzle. More cold rain for Tomorrow night into Friday. Higher elevations may still see some snow, but rain is going to be the main event.

More later on the milder temps, but unsettled wetness into next week.

We have an easy forecast today with sunny skies temps should top out
in the low 50s north and lower 60s in NC. Clouds will increase
overnight and bring Precip tomorrow! This could be some light snow in
the higher elevations and even a rain/snow mix of i-95 and west from
Frefericksburg north to Baltimore. This looks like a light event so
only the highest elevations should see real accumulations from this
and I would think 1 to 3" would be about it.

I am going to forego a later week specific forecast as I will be
wrong. As of now the mountain areas of VA, NC, MD and then a good part
of PA could get a good sized snow storm. It is *POSSIBLE* that snow
may make it into the immediate Piedmont and even a little further east
in far Northern VA and MD. This may be a very close call for i-95 and
west for MD and North VA but I would count on rain now and check back.

Tomorrow night snow will be heaviest across the state in a line from
Charlottesville to Fredericksburg to Salisbury, Md line. Accumulations
1 to 3 inches seems possible 30 miles either side of that line, but
along the coast just a coating to an inch. North of that area up to
the middle part of Maryland, a coating to 1 inch seems more likely
with some seeing as much as 2" in the southern part of this area. In
Southern part of the Appalachian Mts from Afton down SW to Tazewell
and 25 miles either side of this 2 to 4 inches with some 6 inch
amounts in higher elevations seems likely.

Rain Chances|Severe|Cold|Then Snow?

As for the severe yesterday, I am sorry I was not more in front of it. From the storm reports, it appears nothing was noted as severe despite the ominous look to the storms on radar.

Today: Mostly sunny early, and then more clouds and rain chances by later in the day and even thunderstorms possible for the southern half of VA down into NC

Tonight: Chance of thunder in the evening Southern half, and then showers area wide with lows in the 40s.

Wednesday: SPC has outlined the region for potential severe. This is especially true for SW VA and Western NC. The threat would be wind and hail, but isolated tornadoes are also possible. Highs in the 50s north with 60s and 70s to the south.

Wednesday night: Showers and some evening thunderstorms will come to an end. Temps will cool to the low 40s north and upper 40s to around 50 south.

Thursday: Sunny and cooler. Highs will be low 50s north to low 60s south.

Thursday Night: Temps will bottom out in the 20s north to upper 30s south.

Friday: Cool with highs around 50 north to mid and upper 50s south.

Saturday: Very cool to cold. Showers possible. Highs in the 40s north to low and mid 50s south.

Saturday Night: Showers, some mixing with snow possible, especially MD and Northern VA. Temps in the 30s.

Sunday: Showers of rain and still snow possible Northern VA and MD.

Longer range, yet another system may bring colder temps and some snow chances to the Northern areas Tuesday and Wednesday. Beyond this a breakdown in the cold seems likely with highs rebounding to more spring like.

It is beautiful! Please get out and enjoy as temps will be in the mid 70's north and lower 80's and breezy. Tonight a front will come through and knock temps back down to the 50s and mid 60s tomorrow. Rain showers will be possible in the morning, especially in the north. Sunday will remain cooler with highs in the 50s with some 60s south.

Temps will remain cool Monday with some rain possible Sunday Night into Monday morning. Temps will warm back to 60s Monday - Wednesday with even some 70s.

Rain will come back into the picture as a strong front comes south into the area Thursday - much colder temps with 40s and 50s will be in the picture and it is possible that Thursday night into Friday we *MAY* see some snow flakes in the north and in the mountains, especially in Pennsylvania. It will also be very cold next Friday.

We will see highs soar to the 60s and 70s today with sunny skies. It gets even better tomorrow with highs soaring to the 70s and even 80s in the south with upper 60s far north. Friday night a cold front starts heading through and will bump temps back to upper 50s north to upper 60s south with some rain showers as well. Temps drop a to mid 50s to mid 60s Sunday.

Monday will again feature a chance of some showers and the temperatures similar to Sunday with highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s. Temps will warm again Tuesday with temps in the 60 to 70 degree range.

Later next week there is a chance for a more widespread rain storm and this may cool down the region below normal by Friday into the weekend.

Rain ends and warm up begins

Rain is already tapering off this morning and should clear the coast by late morning. Temps will rise to the upper 50s to 60 in the north to even 70 degrees in the south. Sunny skies and much warmer weather will visit Thursday with high in the mid 60s north to mid 70s south. Friday will be even warmer with highs in the low and mid 70s north to low 80s south! Friday night a cold front will come through and knock temps back to the 60s and 70s for Saturday and the 50s and 60s for Sunday. Not too shabby!

Temps look to rebound to the 60s and 70s for Monday and Tuesday as well.

If you have not done so, it is time to put down crab grass preventer fertilizer, especially Northern VA, MD, PA and NJ.

Rain on the way|Late week warm up!

A system will cross the region today and bring rain. The rain will move across from southwest and shifting Northeast east starting this afternoon. Precipitation amounts appear to be in the .75 to 1.00 " range along the immediate Piedmont and .5 to as much as .75 elsewhere. Temps will be in the upper 40s north to as high as 60 in the south. Temps will become milder tomorrow with highs reaching the 60 to 70 degree mark and rain should taper off by afternoon. Sunny with temps low 60s north to low 70s south Thursday, and then sunny with temps mid 70s to low 80s Friday! Things will cool some this weekend, but we still look to have highs in the lower 60s north to lower 70s south! Spring has sprung!

Rainy with a chance of more rainy! Severe Potential Later today!

Rain has been ongoing overnight and MAY end up a bit lighter than first thought for storm totals for many, but localized there is still the risk of up to 4" of rain. We will see a lull in activity this morning and then more rain and heavy rain this afternoon. This afternoon also poses a risk for Severe Storms with the main threat of winds in the storms, though an isolated tornado is likely out of the system (http://www.midatlanticweather.com/severe/severe.htm) . Again, total rainfall will cause flooding concerns and you should never drive through water covered roads!

Drier conditions and cooler temps expected tomorrow with highs in the 40s north and in the low and mid 50s south. Temps will rebound to the low 50s north to the Mid and upper 60s south Saturday, and lower 50s to mid 60s Sunday. Temps should then stay around 50 in the north to low 60s in the South through Tuesday. Weather looks dry for now, but do not be surprised to see some changes Tuesday if some models come true.

Little Mix | A lot of Rain | Severe | Winds | Floods

The NWS is BUSY! We have some mixture of sleet and snow as well as pockets of Freezing rain out west today. Rain will be showery for a long while today and become more constant this afternoon and evening and more heavy tonight and tomorrow. Winds will be strong, especially in SW VA and Western NC where wind advisories are hoisted. Rains will come down strong enough that streams and creeks will flow out of their banks. I suspect we will see Flood Watches turn to many flood warning starting about 7am tomorrow morning in SW VA and far Western VA, spreading eastward to along the I-95 Counties and just to the west by early afternoon and being widespread across central VA and Central VA by mid to late afternoon. 1 - 3" of rain will fall almost everywhere. Pockets of rain in the 3 to 4" range should occur across central VA up into Central MD by tomorrow evening. Those totals will then be seen up into Central and Eastern PA, and NJ. With the strong onshore flow we also will be dealing with coastal flooding. If this were not enough, the dynamics caused by the developing low pressure over SW VA will be strong enough to cause some severe storms, including the possibility of isolated tornadoes. SPC has highlighted eastern VA and Eastern NC with a slight risk for tomorrow due to this - http://www.midatlanticweather.com/severe/day2severe.htm

After all the rain has fallen, the rivers and streams will also have a chance to spill over their banks so expect follow up flood warning for these as well! BUSY times indeed.

What about the wintry mix? Well, this morning as the moisture arrives, very dry air is in place and this is lowering temps at the onset of some precipitation and causing rain to mix with snow and sleet, especially in the mountains and valleys. There are even some places that could see a little freezing rain. Temps will rise and this should be a very short period of time. However,once the low that moves over the region goes north and swings the front through, Western slopes of the mountains and even areas of NW VA, and Western MD could see some snow as the precipitation ends.

Friday looks breezy and cool and then we have seasonal temps in the 47 to 58 degree range Friday, warming to the low 50s North to mid 60s south for the weekend.

There are some signs that by mid next week things could cool down to about 5 to 10 degrees below normal which would mean highs in the north only in the low and mid 40s at best for a few days. There MAY be some wintry weather to watch out for then as well, but it is very far off.

Today temps will be 50 to 60 degrees. Some cloudiness will start to infiltrate SW areas. Tonight we will see rain start to occur by daybreak. Temps COULD be cold enough in some of the valleys to see a bit of mixed precip, but think that this will be brief at best. Rain will truly breakout tomorrow area wide and become steady and heavier later in the day. Rain will be heavy at times tomorrow night with temps steady or even climbing a bit. Thursday we will see heavy rain continue with embedded thunderstorms. Some storms could become severe, especially SE VA and Eastern NC. Temps will drop significantly as the front come through later in the day and some snow should mix in Western area over the mountains and possibly spreading eastward, especially in the northwest areas of VA and Western MD, and PA.

Temps will turn a bit cooler Friday and windy. We will see seasonal temps and now it looks like sunny skies for the weekend.

Please stay alert to flooding conditions. Do not attempt to drive through any water!

Dry, windy, and cool this AM

Temps will stay chilly with 40s north, and 50s south. Tuesday will be
about the same. Some breezy weather as the storm system departs. Many
saw between 1 and 3 inches of rain. Some saw 1 to 3 inch snows on top
of that in NW VA, and west MD.

We stay dry until Wednesday when more rain moves in making is a very
wet Wednesday Night into Thursday.

Next weekend may be cloudy with showers Saturday.

Heavy Rain | Possible Severe | Seasonal Temps | Then More Rain

Today will be cloudy but quite mild, Temps will be in the upper 50s to the mid 60s. Some showers in the west this afternoon and then rain will overspread the entire region tonight! Rain will be heavy and looks like it will be in the order of .75 to 2" amounts. You can see what the Hydrological Prediction Center (HPC) here - http://www.hpc.ncep.noaa.gov/qpf/d13_fill.gif - There will be some strong dynamics as well which could cause locally severe weather tomorrow with local wind gusts and also an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, especially in SE VA and Eastern NC. We will clear on Monday with highs in the upper 40s to mid 50s. This temp appears to be the same through Wednesday with some milder temps arriving Thursday and Friday as temps will warm to the mid 50s north and mid 60s south. Rain will also come back again Thursday and we will need to watch for severe as well then and the chance for flooding will increase then as we will have already been drenched from Sunday. So we have a wet week in total ahead with a few days of drying in between.

Seasonal Day | Milder but a LOT of rain on the way!

Temps will climb from the 20s and 30s up into the upper 40s to upper 50s today. Variable clouds as moisture slowly starts creeping into the air. Tomorrow will be quite a bit milder with temps in the 50s North to upper 60s south. Moisture will overspread teh region and rain could break out later in the day, especially to the west, Rain will become widespread with thunderstorms also embedded, especially southeastern VA and NC. Rain will be heavy at times Sunday into Sunday night. Widespread 1 to 2 inch rains will occur with some spots seeing upwards of 2". We will see a return to seasonal to slightly below Monday with 40s to mid 50s and the same Tuesday. By Wednesday will see some warmer mid 50s to mid 60s possible before rain chances increase later that day and especially Thursday.

Of Note, as you can see in HPC's map, New England will get a very high amount of rain over a substantial snow pack. This will mean widespread flooding rains for many up north from PA to ME.

Much Colder today | Milder Weekend | Heavy Rains possible Sunday

And we dip again as an Arctic Airmass has settled into the region for the day. Highs will be in the 30s north and mid 40s for the south. Temps will become milder tomorrow an recover to the upper 40s and upper 50s for many!

Saturday all will see an increase in clouds. Temps will again be milder from the mid 50s north to the mid 60's south. Rain chances will also enter the picture, especially to the west and south. By Saturday night, rain should have enveloped the entire area and has a chance to be heavy at times. This will be true Sunday as well as many could see upwards of an inch to maybe 3 locally! Based on this, PA and New England will need to brace for floods due to major snow pack melting as well.

We will be milder this afternoon with highs reaching mid and upper 50s north to mid and upper 60s in the south. A cold front will come through and make is MUCH colder tomorrow with highs in the 30s north and 40s south. Temps will be milder Friday and Saturday with highs reaching back to upper 40s and mid 50s Friday and Saturday, and 50s to mid 60s Sunday. Rain will be somewhat heavy now Saturday into Sunday with some places likely to see an inch or more.

We will be much cooler than yesterday today as temps will be seasonal with highs in the upper 40s to mid 50s. Tomorrow will be milder with many seeing upper 50s to mid 60s, Much cooler Thursday with highs mainly in the 40 to 45 degree range and then a slow warming to seasonal levels again for the weekend. The weekend is looking like it could feature some showers especially on Sunday, but things have changed a bit on models. We will have to see if the trends continue.

Much milder air could again visit next week with highs reaching the 60s and 70s for a few days before a strong cold front and potentially huge amounts of rain hit from a stalled front around the 9th.

Severe weather updates #matlwx

SPC has lowered the chances of. Severe from a 30% chance to 15%. That
being said, I still suspect Severe weather to traverse the area today
with storms mixing down high winds. The tornado threat is there, as
evidenced by watches as close as WV and West PA. We will see how the
dynamics work out today. Warm air and high dew points will help aid
the convection which should also cause locally very heavy rains. Winds
will also be on the increase with gusts up to the 40 mph range. All in
all a day of rough weather. Please stay tuned to radio and TV outlets
for updates, watches, oe warnings.

Highlighting severe threat tomorrow

As we head into tomorrow the warm air, high dew points, and system dynamics all point to a threat for severe storms. The system should bring copious amounts of moisture to the region so storms will be heavy rain producers. There is a chance for damaging winds and isolated tornadoes. The serious time appears in the afternoon and evening.

Seasonal temps - milder tomorrow - more Severe Monday!

After an extremely busy day yesterday, things have calmed down nicely. Today will be tranquil with highs in the 40s and 50s. It will be variably cloudy.

Tomorrow we will see an increase in clouds and later in the day, Warmer air will begin to make its way northward and so highs will be in the 50s and 60s or even 70 in the south!

Tomorrow night should see the return to rain. Rain could be quite heavy Monday, and, as very warm air surges into the region, a chance of Severe storms. The Severe Storms Prediction Center (SPC) has already outlined the area for a slight risk of severe on Monday. This will be something to watch. Temps will reach as high as the low 80s in the south, mid and upper 70s middle, mid and upper 60s north.

Temps look to cool down to normal after this. Long term there appears to be a chance for some mixed precipitation and rain showers early next Friday. Not so sure I buy into that at this point.

High winds, possible severe

Today we will see winds increase. If there are any breaks in the
clouds we should see temps rise to the 60s. This could set the stage
for some storms which would be able to mix strong winds to the
surface. Winds gusting in the 30 to 45 mph range this AM will increase
and some speeds will be close to 60 this afternoon in North Va, DC,
MD, NJ, DE, and PA. Winds will die down later this evening and temps
will cool to the 20s and 30s. A calm but somewhat cloudy at times
weekend will occur with temps seasonal north in the 40s and 50s. Temps
will be much warmer south with 60s and 70s Sunday Soithern VA and NC.
Temps 50s north, 60s mid, and 70s south look possible Monday as more
rain and storms head into the area. The Severe threat will be analyzed
later, but looks minimal for now.

The rain threat tonight and tomorrow looks heaviest up into PA now and not so much for VA. The wind threat will be very high, especially in the afternoon! High Wind Warnings are now posted for tomorrow afternoon and Wind Advisories before and after.

Severe treat will be isolated. Not so much thunderstorms, but convective showers coming through will mix strong winds which will likely. An isolated tornado may also occur.

The winds will likely gust to 60+ mph during the afternoon. Be prepared for power outages.

Flood watches are also up for the central part of PA, Most of West VA and parts of NJ. Please do not drive through water in your car!

Calm day|Heavy Rain|High Winds|Severe

An active period is on the way for the next 48 hours. Today will be the calm before the storm. I should mention the Valleys will see some freezing rain possible west of the mountains as the precipitation overspreads there this morning. This will give way to rain later. Rain will overspread the area throughout the day from west to east. Temps will be seasonable 40s and 50s.

Rain will become Heavy at time tonight into tomorrow especially MD and PA as well as WV where 1 - 2 inch amounts will be common. Northern VA and Far Western VA could see an inch or a bit more, and the north half of VA will see a half an inch or so. Southern VA down into NC will see a quarter to a half inch which will not help too much in their serious drought in NC.

With snow pack and widespread heavier rains, WV, far West MD, PA, and NJ have flood watches up for tonight and tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be a very windy day, especially Northern VA, MD, DC, PA, and NJ. High wind watches have been posted for winds up to 60mph or higher!

On top of this, as the system moves north a drying will occur in VA and NC and there is a possibility of convective showers and storms that could easily mix high winds to the surface and may even spawn a brief tornado. The risk of winds looks more possible and that could just be from a strong shower and not a thunderstorm tomorrow!

The weekend itself will turn tranquil and seasonal 40s and even low 50s will return.

Monday could be busy too with another strong system possible!

Cold day but milder - milder tomorrow - rain on the way

Today will be sunny with highs 30s north to upper 40s south, even 50s in NC.
Increasing clouds tomorrow with rain breaking out Southwest to Northeast by afternoon and then evening. Rain will be moderate to even heavy at times overnight, especially for the north half of area (Northern VA, DC, MD, up into PA). PA will have some snow in the NW and Far west part of the state, but quite the soaking for the east and into NJ. Flooding concerns are raised for WV, Far West MD, Central and East PA, and NJ with snow melt as well!

Temps will be seasonal for tomorrow with 40's and 50's, but could warm in the southern regions to 70s for Friday before being bumped back to seasonal for Saturday and Sunday.

Another soaking rain event looks LIKELY Sunday Night through Monday - We may talk severe for South VA and NC then.

Quick Note: A true Spring time severe weather outbreak will be happening in the Middle of the country tomorrow. More later on this and also a chance for snow in Los Angeles Friday for the first Time since 1976!

There is some uncertainty as to whether or not Maryland could see some frozen precipitation out of the system based on the Global Forecast (GFS) Model. This looks like a cold rain event, maybe colder than what the forecast is now, but rain looks dominant. In PA there will be some mixed and snow again to contend with and on east into NJ.

We COULD see some thunderstorms with the system early next week and some serious rains.

Not as much snow as thought for some - cold and then rain and seasonal!

Well, after debating for days as to the amount of snow or would it be cold enough in some regions, the questions were answered! Not much snow in Northern VA, but Maryland and southern PA ended up with a nice amount - My map from yesterday should have had some shifts north, some staying the same, and totals a bit lower from the higher end. All in all, I busted about 1 - 2 inches south and maybe 1 - 2 inches north.

Today we will clear and see temps cold in the 30's north to around 50 in the south. I lost the highlights of how warm it was southern regions where highs soared to the 70's yesterday.

Cool/cold temps will continue tomorrow as temps will warm a bit to low and mid 50s south and lower 40's north.

Thursday we will see temps a bit warmer still with highs in the 40s and 50s with some 60s in South VA and NC. Rain chances will also increase and be welcome in the region as brush fires and dry weather have been issues for the last week and a half. No frozen precipitation looks to fall from this round except for the north half of NJ and North half of PA.

We will look to yet another chance of rain Sunday into Monday. That one will have a variety of weather from about the PA/MD border northward.

Of note the other interesting part of what we will see is a chance for Severe weather in the middle part of he nation. SPC is outlining slight risk. This will become more common as the air masses collide in the middle part of the country!
