5/18 DC/MD/VA Severe Weather Alert

Severe Weather Possible Today

Conditions in the area could become unstable enough this afternoon and evening for Severe Thunderstorms. These storms will be isolated but some Super Cells could form. The main risk will be high winds and large haul in the storms but an isolate tornado are not out of the question. See my Updated Severe Weather Center at http://www.midatlanticweather.com/severe/severe.htm or click the link from my home page at http://www.midatlanticweather.com

All for now.

P.S. Tropical Weather Season Begins June 1st for the Atlantic and has already begun in the East Pacific. I have updated the Tropical Center which is currently tracking Tropical Storm Adrian in the Pacific, the first East Pacific Storm of the season. It is Possible it could cross Central America and emerge as the first Atlantic Basin storm of the season! Pretty wild that the First Storm in the East Pacific and Atlantic could be the same system! Check out the Tropical page and note that the leading forecasters and the NWS have targeted this year as an above normal Season for Tropical Systems in the Atlantic
