6/7 DC/MD/VA Weather Outlook

A steamy day is on tap today! Highs will be 90s for most people east of the mountains due to a warming westerly wind component. That includes areas near the coast and near waters west of the bay, but just east of the bay may be cooled by the waters. Strong to severe storms could fire in the South and Southeast today. I will monitor for a possible alert. Warm and steamy conditions will likely hold through the extended period with highs pretty much in the mid to upper 80s. There should be a slight break in the humidity tomorrow though.

Isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out in warm steamy conditions that we will experience. More widespread storms could be seen Friday.

Not as hot, but still pretty sticky. Temps 5 degrees or so cooler with a little less humidity, especially north.

Possible showers and storms, especially in the South. Temps remaining warm

 

Friday:

Possible showers and storms. Temps remaining warm

 

Saturday:

Possible showers and storms. Temps remaining warm

 

Sunday:

Possible showers and storms. Temps remaining warm

 

Long Term:

Temps could really get hot again early next week.
