THE DAY OF TRANSITION IS HERE! THIS MAY BE TRUE OF THE PRESIDENT BUT IT IS DEFINITELY FOR WEATHER! A FRONT HAS CROSSED OR IS CROSSING THE AREA TODAY. IT WILL STALL AND A WAVE OF LOW PRESSURE WILL FORM ALONG IT. RAINY, RAW CONDITIONS LIKELY THURSDAY WITH HIGHS UPPER 40'S TO LOW 60'S. WEEKEND IS ACTUALLY VERY PLEASANT, JUST COOLER THAN WHAT WE HAVE SEEN! EARLY NEXT WEEK MAY HAVE SOME REALLY CHILLY READINGS, BUT NO POLAR BLOCKING, MEANS COLD AIR IS FREE TO LEAVE!

SUMMARY:
The weather begins a little more normal feel to it today as temps, which are very mild in many areas this morning, either fall or stay constant where they are. A front is crossing or has crossed most of the area this morning. A wave is forming on the front and will give us a rainy cool day tomorrow (and snow to interior new England). A good weekend on tap with highs about seasonal from 55 to 65 degrees.

TODAY:
Breezy! Steady or falling temperatures with highs maintaining a upper 50s to 70 degree spread from North to south.

THURSDAY:
Cool rainy day with highs in the 40s in Maryland Northern counties as well as parts of the mountains, 50s to 60 in most other areas. Significant rains in excess of 1 inch possible!

FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND:
Cool conditions with highs 50-55 in the North and low to mid 60s at best in the southern areas. This is very seasonal, and about on target for the weekend as well!

LONG TERM:
There are signs that a very cold air mass will affect us Tuesday timeframe Highs MAY struggle to 50 in most locations with a few mid 50's in the south. The nighttime lows will end the growing season. We will bounce back, and then maybe see another frontal system next Thursday. A little early yet.

WINTER?
I am working on my outlook. My grade for the last 2 years has been low, but I will try and give a scorecard of what the others out there are saying too which should be neat to look at!
