We will see a gradual step down in temps this week. Temps will go from 60s and 70s Monday and Tuesday to seasonal to below normal temps by this coming weekend. Freezing temps at night could easily visit a large part of us all soon!
Summary:
81 degrees today at Dulles ties the record in my hometown! Several others broken, especially the Southwestern part of the state! I think this warmth will be a memory by this next weekend as seasonal temps come back to visit, then below normal!! Not before a front visits Tuesday into Wednesday. Followed by a stronger front Thursday that will issue the seasonal air.
Monday:
An increases in clouds, and temps still 60Â’s to 70Â’s statewide.
Tuesday:
The first front begins its affects, as showers will be possible late in the day and overnight. Temps still at least 60Â’s through the state. Possible Thunderstorms in parts of the region.

A day of transitions! Highs this day may be below normal in some parts, and showers and even thunderstorms are possible.
Thursday:
Temps really showing at or below normal trends as colder air comes in! Highs in the 50Â’s will be common! Thursday Night will likely see frost in many regions in the immediate piedmont and mountainous areas.
Friday:
Temps will continue in the 50Â’s for most, but full sun could break 60Â’s for some! Frost and Freezing again likely at night!
Weekend:
Temps likely to stay in the 50Â’s and night time lows, will crack the freezing mark in many areas!
Longer Term
The chilliest Air of the season will be arriving Sometime around the 8th!
